Time

I have been having some overlap in fields while thinking about the nature of time. Time gives us some of the more interesting paradoxes in Western Science; The Twin Paradox, Time Dilation, Instantaneity. Once again I would like you to consider the possibility that we adhere so tightly to our “beliefs” that it blocks us from seeing the obvious.

Let me point out a few of these beliefs:

  • We believe that speed is measured relative to an “at rest” state which doesn’t exist in nature. Everything vibrates.
  • We believe that the Universe is divided into a 3 dimensional coordinate system that nature uses.
  • Einstein has shown, among other things; that the speed of light appears to be a constant,
  • some events in the physical world appear to occur instantaneously over great distances,
  • time appears to be an illusion of mind, relative and different for each individual.

These give some insurmountable problems when trying to deal with the concept of time. Let’s try a different point of view.

Let’s start by realizing that everything vibrates at some subdivision of the speed of light (c) which appears to us to be a constant. This is Eternity. When we can traverse the Universe in an instant we experience Eternity. Let’s see this once again as the aether. This was part of what Einstein was trying to resolve with the idea of “hidden variables”. How does one resolve instantaneous action with the concept of time and the concept of the speed of light being a constant and insurmountable.

What if we start with Eternity as the “constant state.” For objects to come into physical perception they must slow down. Anything beyond this speed of light threshold is not within our perception. Now, this slow down comes about as the “knotting” of energy events into matter. This is synergy as opposed to radiation which appears as coils of energy. At this point we should consider some points presented in David Wilcock’s Ascension 2000.

In order to truly be able to get a grasp on Kozyrev’s work and related findings, certain new analogies for physical matter are required. Rigorously, Kozyrev’s work forces us to visualize all physical objects of matter in the Universe as if they were sponges that are submerged in water.

In all of these analogies, we should consider the sponges as having remained in water for a long enough period of time that they are completely saturated. Bearing this in mind, there are two things we can do with such sponges underwater: we can decrease the volume of water that they contain or increase it, by very simple mechanical procedures.
1.Decrease: If a submerged, saturated sponge is squeezed, cooled or rotated, then some of the water inside of it will be released into its surroundings, decreasing its mass. Once the sponge is no longer disturbed, the pressure on the millions of tiny pores is relieved, causing it to again absorb water and expand back to its normal resting mass.
2.Increase: We can also pump more water pressure into the sponge in its rest state, such as by heating (vibrating) it, thus causing some of the pores to expand with more water than they can comfortably hold. In this case, once we relieve the added pressure, the sponge will naturally release its excess water and shrink back down to its normal resting mass.

Though it would seem impossible to most people, Kozyrev showed that by shaking, spinning, heating, cooling, vibrating or breaking physical objects, their weight can be increased or decreased by subtle but definite amounts. And this is but one aspect of his amazing work.

Please note, at this point we don’t have to concern ourselves with the validity of the above stated model. We are merely testing it as a hypothesis and it will either work or not.

Pieces of a Dream

I had two, seemingly random thoughts the past few hours. Rather than overanalyze them, as usual, I thought I would post them and see if anyone else gets anything out of them.

1. I was thinking about Phi and the Golden Mean and Synergetics and looking at a tree limb. The cell growth by division must stay balanced between the length of the limb and the diameter. As the tree grows the cells are developing in the diameter of the limb and in the length at the same time. Could it be that the interaction and attraction between these cells, within the synergetic format, generate Phi and the Fibbonacci numbers?

2. I heard today that one language expert hypothesized that music was an accident of evolution that came along with language. I think there is more to it than that. Another neurologist points out that music releases the same bonding enzymes in the brain as an orgasm. He hypothesizes that music evolved as a necessary aggression suppressant in humans, the only mammal on the planet which accommodates more than 18 or so males within the tribe.

How about considering that it is the “tunability” of the synergetic format which allows certain frequencies to resonate harmonically? Everything is vibrating but we may select which frequencies we (consciousness) react to and how we react. It’s right there in the numbers and, it appears to be universal.

Forward

As the 21st century dawns, we find ourselves on the brink of what may be mankind’s greatest challenge. Can we, as a species, use the tools we have at our disposal to continue to survive, if not thrive?

In the broad spectrum of information we have available, the data can be interpreted in many ways. On one end of the spectrum we can envision shortages leading to conflicts which, if left unresolved, may continue to spread and escalate to a point of no return which could lead to extinction. Another extreme could have us using technology at our disposal in an environmentally responsible manner while providing humanity with wealth and abundance unthinkable at the moment. While there is also an entire range of choices in-between, I can’t help but believe that the extremes presented are the true choice.

In this work I would like to examine the choices available to us in such a way as to enable each of us to understand that there are, indeed, choices and that each of us has the opportunity to participate in our own evolution in a very real and tangible way.

I would like to state at the outset that all of the ideas presented here are the direct result of my having studied the works of Richard Buckminster Fuller over the past 30 years.

We owe him a lot.

Infinity

I would like to state that, at this point, I don’t believe in the concept of “infinity”. The idea that anything goes on forever; time or direction wise doesn’t compute with me. That should make it obvious that I don’t believe that the Universe is infinite. I think most modern physicists ascribe to this view also. Unless, of course, one wants to equate “infinite” with “God” and basically other incomprehensible concepts.

Our very definitions of point, line, area, volume, as examples of 0, 1, 2 and 3 dimensional concepts, just don’t exist, even conceptually. Can you perceive of a one sided plane surface? We throw in the idea of infinity as an axiom to be taken as stated, much as the idea of 3 dimensions is taken as axiomatic rather than as the misconstrued standard that it has proven to be. None of these things works consistently, or conceptually.

What we have, at the base line are, location, direction (angle) and vector (the length and direction from one point to another). With these basic, quite intuitive, concepts, we can express the complexities of our Universe in ways unprecedented with our 3 dimensional “Standard Model”.

Einstein, Relativity and Quantum Mechanics

Perhaps the key breakdown of modern physics has occurred around the apparent irreconcilability of Einstein’s Theory of Relativity with quantum mechanics. They just don’t seem to fit. This dichotomy coincides with the loss of modelability in physics, somewhere around the mid 1950’s.

It occurred to me, as I was getting into the work of Ken Wilber, that in one of his works; Sex, Ecology and Everything he states that one of the inherent occurrences in psychology was that as different aspects of a wide range of research were uncovered, each was seen as a standalone conclusion. Freud saw everything in terms of sex and ego and id and this was thought to be the driving force behind virtually everything, Followed by Jung, B.F. Skinner, et al. all looking at pieces which turn out to be parts of a much greater holon. It was only as the “big picture” was pieced together that the obvious synergy, inherent in this aspect of evolution, became “obvious”.

We are doing the same thing in physics. Relativity and Quantum mechanics are both contained within the greater whole of Synergetics yet we are looking at each as a separate part. Mapping the sub-atomic particles is a logical first step.

Direction of Entropy

Since there is general agreement (scientists, spiritualists, new agers) that time is an illusion, created by the mind, to enable us to comprehend what, by most all accounts, takes place in an instant, we won’t get into the myriad variations here, but start thinking about it.

Though time is an illusion, it still appears very real to us within this physical existence we have chosen. We have entropy as radiation defining time but where does the syntropy come from? Yeah, you know, the thing making the stuff that is breaking down. Does time go backward when we are creating things?

Or could we be dark matter? Consciousness gathering the elemental particles disbursed by entropy and re-knitting them in endless variations?

Considering how physics has buggered with the numbers and re-worked the equations, we should be able to do the same. Only let’s try to be a bit more consistent, shall we?

On Education

I was listening to Ted Talks on NPR the other day and got into this interesting discussion on education that I thought was really eye-opening and yet, so obvious to anyone involved in education, that it was hard to rectify. The conclusion seemed to be that our global educational system (the new technologies have spawned this) is still based in a corporate, industrial model which blatantly favors conformity and rule following, rather than encouraging the creativity we need to engender in future generations, if we are going to be able to deal with the problems we are facing as a bio-system on the face of a finite planet.

I find that, especially here in Costa Rica, where so many kids are home schooled, that the creativity seems to flourish but sometimes the other areas that our current cultural background appears to value are neglected. All too often this tradeoff puts the home schooled student at a disadvantage, lacking what are deemed “validation” by industry; degrees and certifications which were largely designed to maintain control over labor costs by the upper classes.

Consider this. What if what I am proposing here; that there is a 4th dimension and that it is what nature uses; and what if we could teach children how that system works. They wouldn’t have to give up anything but, the possibility of what those children could do with the new level of understanding offered them, is limitless.

Spiral Dynamics

One of the later influences in my research came from Spiral Dynamics and while some of the concepts are controversial I think the model proposed by Beck and Cowan may suit our purposes. One of the reasons many of these competing theories have trouble getting accepted is that, while they all have concepts to contribute, they are lacking a coherent focus and none of them can stand on their own. As we so often do, we look at pieces and try to divine the “big picture”.

I believe that by applying Synergetics’ 4 dimensional framework to Spiral Dynamics we can, perhaps bring a portion of the spectrum of human consciousness into focus. For now, if you’re interested, just look over the basic meme colors and the idea of “second-tier thinking”. Specifically, I see Synergetics being able to incorporate the concept of second tier thinking with Holons to give a means of, not quantifying, but evaluating choices. To make it easier to envision real choices and not have to rely on second-hand sources.

Everyone has his or her own window to the Divine; for some it’s a stained glass window in a cathedral, for some it’s an electron microscope, for some it’s a blank canvas or sheet of paper or a stage but, we’re all looking at the same thing.

Spirituality

At the root of this work is my own attempt to resolve the extremely analytical portion of my brain with another level, which I have long recognized but had some trouble understanding. I found the key I needed in Richard Buckminster Fuller’s  No More Second Hand God in which he posits that we make our own environment and must work to understand how to utilize this environment to our collective benefit. I believe Fuller gave us some answers which allow us to link Spirituality with Science. Many of the concepts previously considered out of the scientific realm (Accupuncture, Homeopathy, Spiritual Healing, Zero Point Energy) may now find new bases for acceptance within the Synergetic realm. Additionally, I have seen within this Synergetic, 4 dimensional system, many Spiritual concepts and icons. Images clearly related to The Tree of Life, Star of David, Crucifix, DNA come up frequently and may allow further clues to how this great puzzle fits together.

We would also like to note that all of the concepts presented here are in complete agreement with the realms presented to us by Jane Roberts via the Seth books which influenced such modern day Gurus as Deepak Chopra and Louise Haye.

Now, some may question whether it makes any sense to attempt “figure out” the Universe. Why not just accept it the way it is? Well, some day I may get there but, for now, I will repeat the quote by an Ultra-Orthodox Jew who was a researcher in genetic engineering. When asked if his religion and profession weren’t at odds, he said someting like, “If God hadn’t wanted me to figure this out he wouldn’t have put it in front of me. He knows me.”

I like that.

C’mon in, take a look around.

Dark Matter

Let’s take a quick look at this whole “dark matter” controversy. In order to account for all of this energy (stars, basically) there must be a source, so we have invented “dark matter”. How about we look at this as Syntropy? Areas where the energy being pulled in is greater than that being radiated. So, from this POV, we are the dark matter! We, as consciousness, are taking in the energy to create our environment. And, we all follow the exact same rules to very different ends/beginnings. Much as they have done with stem cells.

Turns out stem cells have a unique property. They can grow into whatever kind of cell system you want. I.e. if you implant stem cells onto a heart which has been stripped of all live cells and basically only has it’s shape, the cells will grow to fit whatever is required for the heart; muscle, valve, artery. With a replication of a basic cell form we can create whatever cells we need. This is what happens on every level of every system throughout the Universe. We, humans do the exact same thing when we, within any given social structure, choose to become policemen, carpenters, accountants to fill various needs in a greater holon we call government or tribe or community. I suppose there are, perhaps, other universes with different rules but, this is as far as I’ve gotten, so far.
